Cat A office space in the City of London, EC4

Some occupiers would rather take a clean Cat A floor and bring in their own designer. Others prefer a fitted solution from the landlord, and none of the project management that goes with a fit-out. At 16-18 New Bridge Street, Cat A office space in the City of London comes with that choice attached: both routes are open on either available floor, subject to requirements, on a new lease.

The two floors, and how they can be delivered

The first floor is 3,205 sq ft NIA, 3,867 sq ft GIA, with an indicative layout for 32 open plan desks, a 12-person meeting room, three four-person meeting rooms, two video call booths, collaboration space and breakout. The sixth floor is 1,363 sq ft NIA, 2,303 sq ft GIA, self-contained, showing 17 desks, an eight-person meeting room and a kitchen and breakout space. Services run to two pipe VRF air-conditioning, two eight-person passenger lifts, showers and bike storage. Common parts have been upgraded and reception is staffed.

A corner of the City with a long memory

The Blackfriars name belongs to the Dominicans, who wore black and moved their priory inside the city wall near Ludgate in the 1270s. Their hall housed the legatine court that sat in 1529 to hear the case for annulling Henry VIII's first marriage, and the house itself was dissolved in 1538. The law stayed put after the friars went. A few minutes north, the Old Bailey was built on the site of Newgate Prison and opened in 1907, with stone from the demolished gaol reused in its facade.

Plans for each floor and the delivery options are on the full building overview and floor details.
