Office space to let in EC4: 16-18 New Bridge Street

16-18 New Bridge Street sits in a prominent corner position where New Bridge Street meets Tudor Street, on the western side of the City of London. Two floors are available on a new lease, suiting different sorts of occupier. The first floor runs to 3,205 sq ft NIA and is planned for a larger team. The sixth floor, at 1,363 sq ft NIA, is a smaller self-contained option with dormer windows.

What the two floors offer

The first floor has been laid out around 32 open plan desks, with a 12-person meeting room, three smaller rooms seating four, two video call booths, collaboration space and breakout. The sixth floor is planned for 17 desks with an eight-person meeting room and a kitchen and breakout area. Either can be delivered as a Cat A refurbishment or as a landlord fitted solution, subject to occupier requirements. Building services include two pipe VRF air-conditioning, two eight-person passenger lifts, showers and bike storage, with a concierge on a staffed reception and upgraded common parts.

The EC4 address itself

The street name records a piece of eighteenth century engineering. The River Fleet still runs below it, culverted in stages after 1734, and the stretch from Ludgate Circus down to the Thames was covered over for the opening of the new Blackfriars Bridge in 1769. That is how New Bridge Street got its name. Further down the same road stood Bridewell Palace, a residence of Henry VIII that his son gave to the City and which became the country's first house of correction in 1553. Its gateway at number 14 is all that remains.

The full specification and both floor plans are set out on the main 16-18 New Bridge Street site.
