Office space near St Paul's in EC4

St Paul's station is nine minutes on foot from the door of 16-18 New Bridge Street, and the cathedral is barely a detour off the same walk. For a business that wants the western edge of the City rather than the towers further east, this is the right side of Ludgate Hill. Two floors are available, one of them small enough to suit a team of around seventeen.

The landmark, and the muddle over station names

Wren's cathedral was completed in 1710 and, at 111 metres, remained the tallest building in London until 1963. The station names took much longer to settle down. The Central line stop by the cathedral opened as Post Office, named after the General Post Office headquarters nearby, while the mainline station now called Blackfriars spent its first five decades trading under the name St Paul's. On 1 February 1937 the two were renamed on the same day and the confusion ended.

Walking the area, and the floors themselves

From the cathedral steps the Millennium Bridge runs south to Tate Modern. It was the first new crossing of the Thames in London since Tower Bridge in 1894, opened in June 2000, shut within days because it swayed under the crowds, and reopened in 2002 once dampers had been fitted. Back at the building, the sixth floor is 1,363 sq ft NIA under dormer windows, with a meeting room and kitchen and breakout space. The first floor is 3,205 sq ft NIA planned for 32 desks. Both can be delivered Cat A or fitted.
